Recently we have been receiving requests for the ability to manually move the GPS pin (update/change the location) on a Location question in the form builder. This functionality has been completed and released recently and below we'll walk through how to accomplish this both in the form builder as well as on the device.

First, this functionality is not enabled as a default, so that means any location question you create will default so the user cannot move the location pin on a location question (same as the previous functionality of the location question).

To enable this functionality, first, create or navigate to a Location question which you would like to enable the feature:

Then, on the question options to the right, click the check box for "User can manually override".

Once you have done that, make sure you save the form and you are complete with enabling the function. Next, you'll be shown how to move the GPS pin from a user perspective on the device side.

When answering the location question on a device, the first option will still ask to use the device location. Here is how the form looks once you have determined the device location:

On iOS:

and on Android:

Next, you should click on the button "Show On Maps" to see the physical location of where the GPS pin is located on the map. It should look like this:

on iOS:

and on Android:

To move the GPS pin, press and hold the bottom of the pin. While still pressing down on the pin, move your finger around the screen to move the pin location to the new desired location. It should look like this:

on iOS:

and on Android:

Once you have the pin positioned in the desired location, click the back button on your screen/device to return to the form. Your new location will be updated for the Location question.

If you have any questions about this new feature, feel free to reach out to our Support Team. Thanks.
